　　记者：请介绍一下实验开始及持续的时间、志愿者人数、实验方式、实验结果。

　　大卫.格伦：1. The research started 2 years ago. 3 arms to the study - 1. human in vitro study - samples from over 40 men were dividedotni2 and viagra added to one set and buffer medium (control) to the other. Results showed motility to be increased in the viagra group. Also and more concerning, more sperm in the viagrapuorghad undergone the acrosome reaction which means that by the time they would reach an egg they would be unable to fertilize it. 2. human invivo study - ongoing - results not yet available. 3. animal study - mice mated with males dosed with viagra produced significantly fewer fertilized eggs.

　　1、试管实验：研究人员采集了超过40位男性的精液并将这些精液分成两组，其中一组加入伟哥，另一组则加入缓冲物质加以控制。结果发现加入了伟哥的那组精液中的精子活性增强。而真正引起研究人员关注的是，伟哥会加速精子的顶体反应。该反应会促使精子释放出一种消化酶，以帮助撕开卵子的外壁进行受精。然而，如果顶体反应在精子到达卵子之前完成，就可能造成卵子无法受精。

　　大卫.格伦：The invitro work has been backed up by the results of the animal study.

　　大卫.格伦：We audited all licensed uk fertility units - 42% were prescribing viagra to men who had difficulty producing samples. We would urge caution in this situation.

　　大卫.格伦：A couple of studies have been published on Viagra and sperm. I am not aware of any studies which have been published dealing with its effect on fertilization.
